Come hang out with neighbors, bring the kids, and help us kick off our October clothing drive for Mobile Hope.

October is our neighborhood clothing drive for Mobile Hope, and we're kicking it off together at the cookout.
Bring the kids, grab some food, hang out with neighbors — and if you have clothing donations, bring them along.
The drive will continue through October 24.
We're collecting clothing for kids and teens who need it. Socks are especially useful, but we are accepting clothing of all kinds.
Most of the donations will go to Mobile Hope, which helps young people and families experiencing homelessness or housing instability here in Loudoun County.
Details on additional donation drop-off options throughout October will be shared here and in neighborhood updates as plans come together.
Want to Help Without Taking On a Big Commitment?
We're trying something a little different with this event.
Instead of asking a few people to do everything, we'd love to have a lot of neighbors each do one small thing.
Some of these take only 5–10 minutes. Some are as simple as lending us something or sending the event link to a renter you know.

Put Up a Few Flyers
Help us hang a few event or clothing-drive flyers around the neighborhood.

Save a Few Cardboard Boxes
Have clean boxes you were going to recycle? We may be able to use them to collect, sort, or transport clothing donations.
Lend Us a Storage Tote or Bin
Spare plastic storage bins could help keep clothing donations organized and protected.
Lend Something for the Cookout
A folding table, folding chairs, or a pop-up canopy.
Maybe Host a Collection Bin
Have a covered porch or other weather-protected spot? We're considering having a few small clothing collection points around the neighborhood. If you'd be open to hosting a bin, let us know.We're still figuring out whether neighborhood collection bins make sense, so this is just to see who may have a good protected location.

Help Set Up
Help move or set up tables, chairs, games, a canopy, or other cookout equipment before the event.

Give us a hand putting things away when the cookout wraps up.

Grab some candid photos or short videos while you're already at the cookout so we can share how it went on the neighborhood website. No need to be an official photographer.
Help People Get Oriented
If you're already hanging out, help point neighbors in the right direction when they arrive. Something as simple as: "Food is over there, the donation bins are here, cornhole and basketball are set up, and Mike is grilling in the backyard."
Help Move Donations Into Storage
When donations start piling up, help carry bags or boxes from collection areas into temporary storage.

About 15 minutesHelp Sort and Bag Clothes
Spend an evening helping sort clothing donations into bags or boxes. Kids are welcome to help too.
Help Load Donations
Help load the collected clothing into vehicles after the drive ends.
Help Deliver the Donations
Help drive the clothing to Mobile Hope and unload it at the end of the drive. You can do this without helping load.
