Brush Collection
The Town of Leesburg, through the Street Maintenance Division, provides collection of brush free of charge to town residents and businesses receiving curbside refuse and recycling collection. Brush is defined as limbs or prunings from trees removed during normal maintenance by property owners. No call is required for collection. Brush should be stacked loose at the curb on Monday night and will be collected either Tuesday or Wednesday. Because the Street Maintenance Division uses a chipper truck to grind the materials down, they have the following restrictions:
• No branches or limbs larger than 6” in diameter or 8’ in length
• No shrubs or trees with root balls attached
• No fence material
• No decking material
• No fire wood
• No tree stumps
• No pressure treated lumber
• No leaves, garden waste or vines
The Street Maintenance Division does not collect debris from contracted landscaping services. If you hire a landscaper to provide services, you must make arrangements with them for the removal of any debris or take the yard waste to the landfill.
Please contact the Loudoun County Landfill for information on hours and fees at 703-771-5500.
